Vodacom CFO Ivan Dittrich quits

Vodacom chief financial officer Ivan Dittrich has resigned, three years after leaving technology group Datatec to take on the role.

He will leave the mobile telecommunications group at the end of July and will be succeeded by Till Streichert from 1 August.

Streichert is currently executive director of finance at Vodacom South Africa.

Streichert joined Vodacom in February 2014, prior to which he had been CFO of Vodafone Romania. He held a number of senior finance and commercial roles in Romania, Vodacom said in a statement to shareholders on Monday.

He also served as a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and started his career working for the CEO of T-Mobile Germany before undertaking different senior roles at T-Mobile UK. He has a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Hanover in Germany.

Dittrich, who had been CFO at Datatec since May 2008, replaced Rob Shuter as Vodacom’s CFO in July 2012. Shuter left Vodacom to take over as CEO of Vodafone’s operations in The Netherlands. Vodacom is a subsidiary of UK-based Vodafone.  – © 2015 NewsCentral Media
