MultiChoice has cut the price of the Showmax video-on-demand service by half for DStv Compact Plus and Compact customers by half, the broadcaster said on Thursday.
This comes after the company decided last year to include Showmax as a free value-add for DStv Premium customers. Compact Plus and Compact customers will now pay R49/month if they opt to take a Showmax subscription.
A single Showmax subscription gives customers access to two concurrent streams on different devices. Showmax also gives customers the option to download up to 25 TV shows and movies to their smartphone or tablet for viewing later, MultiChoice said in a statement.
“To make accessing Showmax hassle-free, a link has been added to the DStv Now app,” it said. “DStv customers can use up to four mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to access the DStv Now app, stream live television channels, and stream or download Catch Up content linked to their packages.” — © 2018 NewsCentral Media
