A major fire broke out at MultiChoice’s head office in Randburg on Tuesday afternoon, though the situation was reportedly quickly brought under control. The building was evacuated.

Employees at the JSE-listed pay-television operator took to social media to post photos and videos of the incident.

According to television news channel eNCA, no serious injuries have been reported, though at least one security official was treated for smoke inhalation.
