South Africa’s financial services sector regulator has debarred Africa Bitcoin Corporation CEO Warren Wheatley.
Africa Bitcoin Corporation, formerly Altvest Capital, is moving its JSE listing from AltX to the main board.
Altvest has appointed Stafford Masie as executive chairman and tasked him with leading its bitcoin treasury strategy.
The move by Altvest, which emulates US company MicroStrategy, will “fully comply with relevant financial regulations”.
