Business Connexion (BCX) will hold a memorial service for its late CEO, Benjamin Mophatlane, in Pretoria on Thursday and the company has invited anyone who would like to pay their last respects to attend the service.
Mophatlane passed away last week, 11 June, in Johannesburg after suffering a heart attack. He was just 41.
Thursday’s service will be the second for the former BCX leader. A memorial service was held on Tuesday at the Bryanston Catholic Church in Johannesburg at which the company’s chairman, Tony Ruiters, delivered a eulogy.
Thursday’s service will take place between 12pm and 3pm at the Parish of St Pius, 660 Pienaar Street, Waterkloof, Pretoria. Acting BCX CEO Vanessa Olver will speak on behalf of the company, while Mophatlane’s friend and business partner Mathew Blewett will also speak.
Mophatlane, who is survived by his wife and three children, will be laid to rest on Saturday, 21 June, at 7am at Fafung near Brits. For those wishing to attend the funeral, the GPS co-ordinates are S25°11.0 E27°47.0.
