    By now, you’ve probably seen a three-dimensional (3D) movie at the cinema. Are you ready for the same technology in your lounge?

    Television manufacturers such as Samsung, Sony and LG Electronics are introducing 3D LED and LCD TV sets to the SA market. But is it worth investing in a new set, especially given that a 40-inch LED screen that can display 3D images will set you back in the region of R30 000?

    US-based consumer electronics company Crutchfield provides a detailed overview of how the technology works — and, if you decide you want to invest in it, what you’ll need to get started.
