Telecommunications operator Neotel has lost its chief sales and marketing officer. Stefano Mattiello, who had been at Neotel for the past four years, joined networking company Cisco this week as its channel director in SA.
Newly appointed Neotel CEO Sunil Joshi will act as chief sales and marketing officer until a replacement is found. A company spokesman says it plans to interview both internal and external candidates for the position.
Mattiello tells TechCentral that his decision to leave Neotel had nothing to do with any issues he had with the company. Rather, his decision was based simply on the compelling nature of the offer from Cisco.
Before joining Neotel, Mattiello was regional sales director in sub-Saharan Africa for Motorola. Prior to that he was regional director at Sun Microsystems. — Duncan McLeod, TechCentral
