Prepare for battle, win a drone

Please note that this competition is now closed. Congratulations to winners Avesh Inderjeet, Helen O’Regan, Philip van Tonder, Ferdie Danzfuss and Harshad Sonne. Your prizes are on their way to you.

TechCentral is giving away five Nano Quadcopters in collaboration with Ster-Kinekor and Drone Force to five lucky readers to celebrate the opening of the new movie Robot Overlords.

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if the Transformers weren’t on our side? Well, you’re about to find out! Robot Overlords invades South African cinema screens on 10 April.

Mankind’s war against the robots has disintegrated and resistance has crumbled. Humans are confined to their houses or face incineration from the metallic monsters from outer space.

Our heroes are a group of young kids who have had enough of this confinement. Led by one Sean Flynn, who is searching for his missing father, the kids figure out how to disable their tracking devices.

The rest is rock-and-roll action as they dodge robots and their human collaborator, Smythe, played by Ben Kingsley.

To stand a chance of winning a Drone Force Nano Quadcopter, simply answer the following question: who plays the role of the earthling collaborator Smythe? Send your answer to us via e-mail. Please include a contact number so we can reach you if you win a prize.

Entries must reach TechCentral by midday on 9 April. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Winners will be chosen at random. No employees of TechCentral, Ster Kinekor or Drone Force, or their immediate families, may enter the competition. The draw will take place on 10 April.  — © 2015 NewsCentral Media
