The numbers are in: TechCentral is SA’s leading B2B tech platform

Advertising and marketing professionals looking to reach an influential audience of ICT decision makers need look no further than TechCentral.

The analytics data for October 2020 is in from Narratiive — the website analytics firm used by most South African publishers — and it shows TechCentral has not only cemented its lead as the biggest business technology news website in South Africa, but extended it further.

For October, the publication was almost 50% larger than its next-nearest competitor in the B2B technology space.

That’s why our readers read us – to understand the story behind the story, not where they can get a deal on a 40-inch TV

TechCentral founder and publisher Duncan McLeod said that this lead will grow further in 2021, as the publication ramps up investment in editorial resources to build on the impressive performance already achieved this year. “We can’t give away too much about our plans but watch this space – we have exciting things in store,” McLeod said.

Michelle Losco, TechCentral’s sales director, said the publication has strongly cemented its lead in the B2B technology space and has big plans to build further on this.

“The B2B space is very different to the consumer space. It’s exciting to see the high level of traffic TechCentral is enjoying every month despite its decision to steer clear of a retail consumer audience and focus on the B2B market,” Losco said.

What that means, for example, is that TechCentral won’t write about the latest Black Friday specials from retailers. But the publication will write about what it takes to build a technology platform to support Black Friday.

Ultimately, that’s why our readers read us, said McLeod – to understand the story behind the story, to gain insight into how technology is reshaping industries, not where they can get a deal on a 40-inch TV.

    Every cent counts

Companies looking to leverage their marketing budgets to sell products and services to other companies should be keenly aware of where they’re investing their marketing rands, especially in a time of uncertainty such as now, where every marketing cent counts.

In addition to its already market-leading B2B coverage, TechCentral offers the most powerful business-focused multimedia offerings for the ICT industry through audio and video podcasts and other content marketing tools, said Losco.
