The State IT Agency (Sita) has appointed Nontobeko Ntsinde to replace three acting CEOs at the organisation. Ntsinde has also been appointed in acting capacity.
Curiously, Sita chairman Zodwa Manase says Ntsinde will act in the position for a year.
She says Ntsinde is well positioned to help the embattled organisation turn itself around.
Sita is the state’s IT procurement and distribution agency and supplies services to local, provincial and national government.
Ntsinde is a former head of corporate finance and international finance at the Industrial Development Corp (IDC) and has worked on acquisitions and projects in 22 countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
The department of public service & administration, which has oversight of Sita, was supposed to have appointed a new CEO by April this year.
Public services minister Richard Baloyi appointed several new board members earlier this year in the hope of filling the position of CEO faster.
Sita has long needed a governance overhaul, which Manase is confident Ntsinde will help the company achieve. — Staff reporter, TechCentral
