Altvest has appointed Stafford Masie as executive chairman and tasked him with leading its bitcoin treasury strategy.
Altvest is changing its name to The Africa Bitcoin Corporation and plans to issue shares to raise capital for its bitcoin treasury.
The move by Altvest, which emulates US company MicroStrategy, will “fully comply with relevant financial regulations”.
