MTN South Africa has launched voice over LTE, also known as VoLTE, to customers with certain supported devices. Previously, calls were only carried on the operator’s 2G and 3G infrastructure.

Jaguar said on Thursday it will roll out a network of 82 new public charging stations for electric vehicles in South Africa at a cost of R30-million. They will be able to charge most electric vehicles sold in the country.

Despite South Africa’s economic malaise, technology distribution and services group Alviva Holdings has increased headline earnings per share by 12% for the year ended 30 June 2018.

Johannesburg-listed telecommunications group MTN said on Tuesday that is has concluded the sale of its subsidiary in Cyprus to Monaco Telecom, and has collected €262-million in cash from the transaction.
