[dropcap]R[/dropcap]ectron, a subsidiary of JSE-listed technology group Mustek, has acquired a majority shareholding in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software development company Palladium.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The acquisition “strengthens Rectron’s software proposition in the South African channel”.
“Palladium aligns well with Rectron’s strategy to grow its cloud and software business,” said Rectron MD Spencer Chen in a statement.
Chen said the deal will allow Rectron resellers to stand out in “the over-saturated ERP software market”.
Palladium is led by Stephen Corrigan, who said the company’s Windows-based software offers “big business ERP functionality at a small and medium business price point”.
The company has a hosted ERP solution, with a full cloud offering under development. — (c) 2017 NewsCentral Media
