Rob Abraham, former CEO of Altron IT subsidiary Bytes, the company from which he retired two years ago after 17 years of employment, has been appointed as interim CEO of black-owned media group Kagiso Media.
Abraham replaces Mark Harris, who stepped down last week and who plans to pursue new opportunities.
Kagiso Media is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kagiso Tiso Holdings. Its assets include Jacaranda FM, East Coast Radio, Urban Brew Studios and Juta.
Abraham was CEO of Bytes for five years prior to his retirement. He has worked closely in the past with Kagiso Tiso Holdings’ management team.
“I am excited by this opportunity and am certainly looking forward to working with the Kagiso Media executive team, the board and over 900 colleagues across the Kagiso Media group,” Abraham said in a statement. — (c) 2018 NewsCentral Media
