MultiChoice has announced it will begin offering Catch Up, which offers cached content and online video-on-demand services, to DStv Compact and Extra subscribers from Sunday, 1 November. Previously, it was available only on DStv Premium, the most expensive of the broadcaster’s bouquets.
Catch Up will only be available to subscribers with Explora personal video recorder (PVR) decoders.
Up to 150 hours of entertainment will be made available, with all content in high definition.
The content on Catch Up is linked to the DStv package of the customer, so Compact subscribers will see content available on DStv Compact.
DStv Compact and Extra customers with active Explora PVRs will receive a software update in the next week which will enable the Catch Up service.
Content will start downloading from 1 November and will build up to the 150 hours over time, MultiChoice said. — (c) 2015 NewsCentral Media
