Virtualisation, networking and cloud services specialist Citrix is upping its focus on Africa, announcing that its South African office will now look after English-speaking countries on the continent. It has also appointed a second distributor in the local market.
The company’s channel presence in East Africa and West Africa will now be managed and supported by Citrix in South Africa, the company said.
At the same time, Drive Control Corporation has been appointed as a second distributor in Southern Africa.
Drive Control will focus in particular on Citrix’s NetScaler SD-WAN product, and will work with the channel to provide mid-market customers with software-defined networking solutions.
Citrix’s other distributor in Southern Africa, Axiz, will also expand its remit to include East Africa, it said.
“South Africa continues to be the headquarters for Citrix’s operation in Africa — we have witnessed significant growth over the past two years, and these initiatives are designed to help better meet that demand,” said Citrix South Africa country manager Brendan Mc Aravey. — (c) 2017 NewsCentral Media
