The Sunday Times Top 100 Companies list, announced on Tuesday evening, has ranked the top performing companies on the JSE over the past five years.
Technology group EOH has topped the list among technology companies (it is placed third overall), having produced an average annual compound return for shareholders of 69,4%.
Naspers is placed second among tech counters and 12th overall, with a 42,1% average return over five years.
Net1 UEPS Technologies is placed third (in 37th place overall), with an average return of 29,3%.
Vodacom is fourth on the list (53rd overall) at 24,8%, followed by fifth-placed Mustek (24,5% and 54th overall).
Fortress Income Fund is this year’s top company, with an average annual compound return of 72,7%.
Second is Trustco Group Holdings (70,4%), with EOH in third place.
The remainder of the top 10 are, from fourth to 10th place: Taste Holdings, Coronation Fund Managers, Afrimat, Brait, Capital & Counties Properties, PSG Group and OneLogix Group. — (c) 2015 NewsCentral Media
