Former Research in Motion (RIM) executive Craige Fleischer has been appointed as the new head of mobile communications for Samsung Electronics in SA. He takes up the position on 1 April.
Fleischer joined Samsung in October, where he took on a business development role in the company’s office automation and consumer electronics division.
In his new position, Fleischer will be expected to drive Samsung’s mobile communications business division in the retail and business sectors.
Fleischer worked previously as regional director for Southern Africa at BlackBerry-maker RIM’s SA office, having taken over the position from Samsung’s current MD, Deon Liebenberg. Fleisher was in the role for only four months before jumping ship to Samsung. — Staff reporter, TechCentral
