As competition in the e-commerce landscape in South Africa intensifies, more companies are offering on-demand deliveries to woo customers in a difficult trading environment.
iStore, the retail chain owned by Apple distributor Core Group, has joined the fray, promising free deliveries in the Cape Town and Sandton CBDs in less than 60 minutes.
It is also promising scheduled deliveries, so customers can get their products delivered at a time of their choosing. There is no minimum spend amount or minimum cart value.
“Free iStore ‘RightNow’ one-hour delivery is currently available in the Sandton and Cape Town CBDs, and will soon expand to Tshwane (Pretoria) and Durban,” the company said in a statement on Monday.
The move by iStore comes as more and more retailers focus on improving their logistics to allow for on-demand deliveries as a way of differentiating themselves as competition for online shoppers hots up. – © 2024 NewsCentral Media
