Internet service providers have revealed their prices for Century City’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) project in Cape Town. See the table below for the pricing options.
ISPs linked to Century City Connect, the company which operates a carrier-neutral “last mile” open-access fibre-optic network in the Century City precinct, have launched a range of FTTH packages for residents.
Residents connected to the Century City Connect network can choose between line speeds of 10Mbit/s, 20Mbit/s, 50Mbit/s and 100Mbit/s.
Century City has rolled out open-access fibre to all new commercial and residential developments.
“We are not charging ISPs a connection fee for residential circuits and trust that they pass this saving on to the clients,” a spokesman for the development said.
New residential customers could be connected to the network within five working days after signing up with an ISPs if fibre was available in their complex. — © 2015 NewsCentral Media
