MTN South Africa has appointed its chief marketing officer Larry Annetts to the newly created position of chief consumer officer.
The move is meant to help MTN improve service quality and provide customers with a “distinct experience”, the company said in a statement.
Annetts’s new role will include consumer marketing. He will also be responsible for overseeing all activities related to the sales and marketing division.
He joined the MTN group 21 years ago and has served in a number of roles, including chief marketing officer at MTN Nigeria and chief marketing and strategy officer at MTN Irancell.
MTN South Africa CEO Mteto Nyati said in the statement: “I believe [Annetts] will make a noticeable change in simplifying our products and customer-facing processes and systems.” — (c) 2016 NewsCentral Media
