Just when everyone thought the price war among Internet service providers had petered out, MWeb, one of South Africa’s largest service providers, has chopped the price of five of its capped broadband ADSL products and nine of its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) packages.
It has also added five new products to its FTTH offerings.
The price decreases on high-end, capped ADSL products are: 300GB dropped to R999/month (saving: R150); 150GB dropped to R549/month (saving: R50); 100GB dropped to R399/month (saving: R50); 75GB dropped to R299/month (saving: R50); and 50GB dropped to R199/month (saving: R40).
The tables below show the new FTTH pricing and packages from MWeb.
The service provider’s capped ADSL products now also include “free” night-time data, which is equal to the size of the data cap, giving users double their data.
Night-time data can be used between 12am and 6am, the company said.
Existing MWeb customers will automatically benefit from the new price reductions. — (c) 2015 NewsCentral Media
