Seacom has acquired 100% of KwaZulu-Natal Internet service provider SAI for an undisclosed sum.
SAI is focused on providing services to small and medium enterprises in the province. The deal builds on the expansion plans for Seacom Business.
The company will be rebranded as the Seacom KwaZulu-Natal office and will lead Seacom’s expansion in the province for fibre Internet access to business-customer premises.
“SAI has a long history of providing telecommunications solutions that meet the precise requirements of their subscribers, including high-performance Internet access, voice, hosting solutions, security and data protection,” Seacom said in a statement on Tuesday.
“This acquisition allows us to leverage SAI’s expertise, reputation and local market knowledge, effectively speeding up our regional growth plans in KwaZulu-Natal,” said Seacom CEO Byron Clatterbuck.
Seacom Business offers connectivity and cloud services in South African metros, with fibre Internet access options ranging from 25Mbit/s to 1Gbit/s. — © 2018 NewsCentral Media
