Internet service provider Web Africa has realigned its reseller model, effectively cutting its per-gigabyte fees by R14/GB.
The new structure, which it calls “hosting by utilisation”, allows Internet resellers to control up to 20 domains and 20GB of pooled traffic for a monthly fee of R400.
The company says traffic will cost R10/GB, which the company says is a R14 saving. Traffic is charged for in per-megabyte increments.
Web Africa says the new prices come on the back of its installing its own digital subscriber line (DSL) network, which it began trialling in August last year.
“We’ve established our own DSL network, which allows us to offer such cheap rates to resellers,” says Kyron Beckx, marketing manager at Web Africa. — Staff reporter, TechCentral
