Altron TMT subsidiary Bytes People Solutions, part of the Bytes Technology Group, has made an offer to acquire Inter-Active Technologies, a specialist customer interaction management business, for an undisclosed sum.

The agreement has been signed, but the deal is still subject to the approval of the competition authorities, Altron TMT said in a statement.

Inter-Active Technologies provides customer service-enhancing tools and professional services to South African companies.

“The acquisition is of strategic importance to the Bytes People Solutions business in that it extends the range of value offerings across both inbound and outbound customer services to current and new customers,” Altron TMT said.

“The acquisition of Inter-Active Technologies will add enormously to the current capabilities of Bytes People Solutions as we aggregate the skills and abilities of the respective businesses,” said Bytes People Solutions MD Madelise Grobler in the statement.

Both companies said they expect the transition period to be “seamless” as the two teams will be “working hard” to ensure an “effortless consolidation” of Inter-Active Technologies’ staff, facilities and customers into Bytes People Solutions. – © 2014 NewsCentral Media
