Police in Britain have arrested seven people following a series of hacks by the Lapsus$ hacking group which targeted major firms including Okta and Microsoft.
Microsoft said a hacker group gained “limited access” to its systems, following a claim by the group that it obtained source code for Bing and Cortana.
Hundreds of customers of digital authentication firm Okta have possibly been affected by a security breach caused by a hacking group known as Lapsus$.
Okta, whose authentication services are used by companies to provide access to their networks, is investigating a digital breach.
Following the cyberattack on credit bureau TransUnion, banking risk centre Sabric has said it is working with banks to protect consumers.
One of South Africa’s largest credit bureaus, TransUnion, has been hacked. The attackers are seeking an extortion, the company said.
