Logicalis, a subsidiary of JSE- and London-listed technology group Datatec has offered to acquire Corpnet, a Brisbane, Australia-based provider of IT services including data centre, cloud computing and managed services to the Queensland midsized and enterprise markets.
The deal, which will be worth US$2,7m on completion — with an additional potential earn-out payment of $0,6m — is contingent upon approval by the seller’s shareholders.
Corpnet has annualised revenues of about $20m. According to Datatec, it is a big player in Queensland’s data-centre services and managed services markets. “Its service offerings, skill base and vendor accreditations will build upon Logicalis’s existing data-centre and managed services expertise in Australia,” Datatec says in a statement.
Datatec CEO Jens Montanana says the deal allows Logicalis to expand its existing offerings and bring “complementary skills and resources”. — (c) 2012 NewsCentral Media
