Dimension Data, through its Application Services division, has acquired Agile Business Solutions and Xpedia Fusion to address market demand for Oracle skills. It has bought 100% of the equity of both companies.
Agile Business Solutions is a privately owned consultancy specialising in PeopleSoft and Oracle human capital management systems, while Xpedia Fusion is an Oracle business software solutions provider. Xpedia Fusion is a subsidiary of Xpedia Consulting, part of the Xpedia IT group formed in 2003. Xpedia serves clients across Africa.
The value of the deals has not been disclosed.
Agile Business Solutions is headquartered in Johannesburg, with representation in Cape Town.
Agile-Xpedia will be integrated into Dimension Data Middle East and Africa’s Application Services business, an entity that was formed in 2013 when Dataflo, Core People and Dimension Data Application Solutions were merged.
“The acquisition of Agile-Xpedia is an investment in skills and expertise,” says Dimension Data Middle East and Africa executive for Application Services Donovan Lawrence. “It accelerates our ability to drive both IT as a service and IT outsourcing into the Middle East and Africa market.”
The deals will bring in 72 Oracle specialists, according to Dimension Data. “The capabilities of both the companies we have acquired complement our existing services and skills sets the team has here in our Johannesburg and Cape Town offices.”
Both acquired companies will also continue to offer the services they do today. — © 2014 NewsCentral Media
