The sharp fall in the value of the rand in recent months has had a severe impact on the price of imported electronics, and iPhone fans can expect to have to dig deeply into their pockets to get Apple’s latest smartphone.
Core Group on Friday revealed that the iStore will sell the iPhone 6s starting at R11 799 for the most basic, 16GB version and going all the way up to R17 499 for the 128GB iPhone 6s Plus.
The iPhone 6s will start at R5 799 after trading in an iPhone 6, according to the iStore. It will start at R7 799 for those trading in an iPhone 5s, or R11 799 with no trade-in.
The iPhone 6s Plus will start at R7 099 when one trades in an iPhone 6 Plus, R9 599 when one trades in an iPhone 5s or R13 599 with no trade-in.
