The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) is up and running after international connectivity troubles delayed its opening on Monday.
The opening of the local bourse was delayed by an hour and a half this morning, after it could not start its equity market trades.
The JSE says its international connectivity is provided by MTN and is used to feed data from the equities market. This connectivity was interrupted, the bourse says.
“The two companies are refining the analysis of the cause. A further update will be provided in due course,” the JSE says in a statement. — Staff Reporter, TechCentral
