Telkom’s residential and business customers can now log service faults and track their progress to resolution using a new application designed for Apple’s iPad and for Android devices.
The app, which is available in Apple’s App Store and in Google’s Play store, allows users to find the exact location of their nearest Telkom Direct store, check the progress of their order, view their account balance and browse promotions.
Telkom consumer services and retail MD Manelisa Mavuso says the app is part of a broader plan to improve service levels. Other initiatives include improved online fault reporting mechanisms, faster digital subscriber line (DSL) installation times and a “renewed culture within Telkom to go the extra mile to meet customer expectations”.
Earlier this year, Telkom released a financial reports app, which offers shareholders and others a way of reviewing the financial data distributed by the company. — (c) 2012 NewsCentral Media
