Nokia on Monday unveiled the N9, its latest high-end smartphone and the first to be powered by Linux-based MeeGo, the operating system developed in partnership with chip-maker Intel.
The phone sports a 3,9-inch Amoled touch screen with a resolution of 854×480. There are no front-facing buttons — instead, users will interact with the device using a new “swipe” technology — and the device will ship in 16GB and 64GB variants. With a 1GHz processor and integrated graphics processor, the phone features near-field communications technology and integrated GPS.
