Anton Potgieter has handed over his position as chairman on Huge Group to Stephen Tredoux, a former MTN executive.
Potgieter will remain as executive director and will stay on as MD of the group’s mobile advertising and content business, Huge Media.
Potgieter was appointed chairman of the board in 2008, when he took over from Fensta Emmanuel Lediga. Before that he was the CEO of the group.
He has a long history in the telecommunications industry. He founded least-cost routing TelePassport in 1993, which was snapped up by Huge in 2007.
Tredoux is stepping in as nonexecutive chairman.
This is the second reshuffle of the group’s board this week. On Monday, it announced the resignation of financial director Michelle Meth.
