Ride hailing application Uber has apologised for problems in Cape Town that have left some users stranded.
The application on Wednesday was experiencing network problems that left riders stranded.
Some people in Johannesburg also complained about not being able to use the service.
“We’re experiencing a temporary disruption making it difficult for some riders/drivers to use the app. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this is causing and we thank the Uber community for their patience as we work through the issue,” Uber spokeswoman Samantha Allenberg said.
The Uber mobile application showed no vehicles available in Cape Town area and the company said it was working to resolve the issue.
Uber also posted a tweet on its social media profile page in which it apologised for the disruption.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused and our thanks to the Uber community for their patience while we work through the issue,” said the company.
