MTN South Africa has appointed a new chief customer experience officer, naming Isabella Naidoo to the position. She replaces Eddie Moyce, who resigned.
The news of the appointment comes just days after new findings from the South African Customer Satisfaction Index (SAcsi) showed that MTN lags behind rivals Vodacom, Telkom and Cell C in customer satisfaction when it comes to wireless Internet providers.
Naidoo will take on the role on 1 May, MTN said in a statement. Her background is in information systems and total quality management, with a track record in banking, it said.
She has a BSc in computer science and mathematical statistics and a BSc (honours) in computer science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She also has a master’s degree in strategic IT management from the University of Derby in the UK.
Before she was appointed to MTN SA, Naidoo served as head of corporate channels at Barclays Africa and as chief information officer at First National Bank.
“Naidoo’s appointment gives expression to our ongoing quest to improve our customer experience by attracting the right talent and tapping into best practice from other sectors of the economy,” said MTN South Africa CEO Mteto Nyati in the statement. — (c) 2016 NewsCentral Media
