One of the biggest retail and industrial areas in Johannesburg, Strijdompark in Randburg, is getting fibre broadband. BitCo has announced plans to wire up the large number of businesses in the area.
Cable infrastructure specialist Global Platinum Solutions (GPS) has been commissioned to deploy the fibre-optic network for BitCo, which will have exclusive access to the infrastructure.
BitCo said in a statement that GPS has committed to completing the project “as quickly and quietly as possible”.
“We assure businesses that all reasonable measures have been taken to ensure the work is carried out in the neatest, most timeous manner to ensure minimal disruption,” BitCo said.
The company hasn’t said yet how much access will cost businesses in the area, but has promised they will offer uncapped broadband Internet and a service level agreement offering 99% guaranteed uptime. — © 2016 NewsCentral Media
