Listed technology distributor Pinnacle Holdings has named IT industry veteran Henry Ferreira as an executive director on its board.
Ferreira, 61, has been appointed to “enhance the capacity of the board and also assist in managing the future growth of Pinnacle”, the company said in a statement to shareholders on Monday. He will take on the new role on 1 June.
According to Pinnacle, Ferreira has held the role of CEO of its subsidiary AxizWorkgroup for the past two years. In his new role, he will head up distribution for the Pinnacle group.
Ferreira, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the IT industry, is a former country GM for Hewlett-Packard and MD of Compaq Africa. Prior to joining AxizWorkgroup in February 2012, he held the position of country GM for Lenovo Africa.
He has also held executive positions at Microsoft Southern Africa, Nokia Networks, Unisys Africa and Hewlett-Packard UK & Ireland. — © 2014 NewsCentral Media
