First National Bank (FNB) has recovered from a system outage that hit both its website and mobile banking application on Monday morning.
“FNB can confirm that it had a brief interruption and intermittent connectivity early this morning on various channels. This has now been remedied,” said FNB chief information officer Mo Hassem.
There were scant details of what exactly caused the outage.
ATMs were not affected by the outage on Monday and some customers reported problems with payment machines.
The bank, later on Monday morning, also confirmed on Twitter that its systems are back online. — Fin24
