Datatec has named Gary Bullard as the new CEO of subsidiary Logicalis Group following the retirement of Ian Cook, who has been appointed as nonexecutive chairman.

According to Datatec, Bullard has 25 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industry. In his most recent role, he was UK CEO and president of Australia, Middle East and Asia for Logica, now part of CGI, a Canadian-based global IT services company. Before that, Bullard was MD of BT Group’s corporate business unit and president of BT Global Services.

He has also held senior executive positions in IBM, including GM of IBM Global Services and GM of IBM Global Solutions and will join Logicalis as CEO designate in December.

Datatec CEO Jens Montanana says Logicalis has become a “significant global business with revenues of over US$1,5bn and profits in the first half of the 2014 financial year up by 45% to $33m”.  — (c) 2013 NewsCentral Media
