Police are on the hunt for four robbers who stole cellphones worth R1m from a Vodacom shop at a Centurion mall on Thursday, police said.
Two of them entered the store in the Mall@Reds pushing a trolley and wearing T-shirts with the logos of cellphone brands as staff were opening up for the day around 8.40am, captain Augustinah Selepe said.
They held staff at gunpoint and ordered them to put cellphones into bags.
One of the men was wearing a Vodacom T-shirt with jeans and a blue cap. A second man was wearing an LG T-shirt, a black jacket, black pants and a hat.
The four fled in a blue Toyota Corolla and another car. Police were examining surveillance camera footage and appealed to members of the public to come forward with information about the robbery. — News24
