Privately held South African secure electronic communications specialist Striata has acquired New York-based Mass Transmit, a US-based provider of e-mail marketing tools and services.
The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
Headquartered in New York, with offices in Charlotte, North Carolina and in London, Mass Transmit’s technologies include a professional-grade e-mail platform and a business-to-business and business-to-consumer communications platform used for e-mail marketing campaigns and digital business communication.
The deal means Striata will now be able to offer the “full spectrum” of digital messaging services, said founder and CEO Michael Wright in a statement. Wright, a former MD of VWV Interactive, founded the South African chapter of the First Tuesday industry networking events.
Striata, which was launched in 1999, offers a solution that replaces print and physical mail with interactive electronic documents and transactional messages.
Founded in Johannesburg, where it remains headquartered, Striata now operates in Hong Kong and Sydney and has partners in North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific. — © 2015 NewsCentral Media
