On Friday, communications minister Roy Padayachie met with the leaders of 30 of SA’s largest communications technology companies to discuss how government and the private sector can work more effectively together.
TechCentral editor Duncan McLeod sat down with Padayachie after the event and asked him about the outcome of the meeting. McLeod also asked the minister about rolling out broadband into rural and underserviced areas and the role that government expects Telkom, in which it holds a 39,8% direct stake, to play.
