Relations between Cell C and its soon-to-be-former client Huge Group have reached rock bottom, with the former claiming it’s owed R60-million by the latter and the latter saying it’s actually the one that’s owed money “morally”.

Cell C has made what it calls a “voluntary offer” to the Competition Commission over data prices, which will see prepaid customers getting free “lifeline” data, albeit very limited.
Cell C has appointed two new non-executive directors, Sindi Zilwa and Mark Nelson-Smith, to its board, it said on Wednesday. The operator’s chief legal officer, Zahir Williams, is also joining the board.
