MultiChoice has announced annual price hikes for its various DStv bouquets. The top-end DStv Premium bouquet will rise by 5,1% to R699/month, from R665/month previously.
The popular Compact bouquet will rise in price from R295 to R319/month, representing an above-inflation increase of 8,1%.
DStv EasyView, MultiChoice’s entry-level offering, which provides a smattering of entertainment, news, religious and sports programming, has received the biggest increase, with the monthly tariff rising by 34,5% to R39/month.
The “access fee” for additional services rises by R5 to R80/month, an increase of 6,7%. This fee gives subscribers an additional viewing environment — say through a second decoder in the home — and access to the DStv Catch Up and BoxOffice services.
The new rates will take effect on 1 April.
