BitCo is re-entering the small and medium enterprise fibre market, with two uncapped and uncontended fibre offerings.
The uncapped 10Mbit/s and 20Mbit/s fibre plans cost R3 695/month and R4 995/month respectively before VAT.
The connections have a 1:1 contention ratio for both local and international bandwidth and are synchronous, meaning upload speeds are the same as download speeds, the Johannesburg-headquartered company said in a statement.
“Businesses operating in BitCo smart fibre communities will be able to access these offerings at a further reduced rate,” it said.
BitCo has been expanding its national last-mile fibre network. It also operates microwave services, which prospective fibre customers can access temporarily for those that require a rapid deployment, it added.
BitCo, which was established 10 years ago, peers with other major operators as well as at NAPAfrica and the Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban Internet exchange points known as Jinx, Cinx and Dinx. — (c) 2016 NewsCentral Media
