Incredible Connection CEO Dave Miller has stepped down and will leave the computer retailer at the end this month, according to parent JD Group. He has been with the company for 10 years.
JD Group CEO Grattan Kirk, himself a former head of Incredible Connection, says Stefan Marnewick, currently Incredible Connection’s finance chief, will act as CEO of the company until a permanent replacement to Miller can be found.
Miller says the parting of ways was “amicable”.
“It certainly wasn’t as a result of the group not trying to retain me,” he says. “It was a personal decision of me wanting to look at different opportunities. It was an amicable discussion throughout it all and it was held in an open and transparent way.”
He says Incredible Connection is in a “very healthy position” financially. “[My resignation] is not a vote of no confidence in terms of the future of the company. It’s really a personal decision because I’d like to be doing something different.”
Miller intends to stay in the retail sector but has no immediate plans.
