Outgoing Telkom acting group CEO Jeffrey Hedberg has agreed to stay on at the group in an advisory capacity until its annual results presentation in June.
The follows news of Nombulelo “Pinky” Moholi’s appointment as its new CEO from 1 April.
Hedberg joined Telkom early last year to head up the group’s ailing Nigerian operation Multi-Links. He was then appointed acting CEO of the group when Reuben September resigned after the board declined to renew his contract.
TechCentral broke the news in January that Hedberg had decided not to apply for the job as Telkom’s top executive and would leave the company at the end of March.
However, in a statement to investors on Thursday morning, Telkom revealed Hedberg had agreed to advise Moholi in her new position until July.
