[dropcap]F[/dropcap]acebook has moved its African operations into stunning new premises in Bryanston, north of Johannesburg.
The US social networking giant, which established its African headquarters in South Africa 23 months ago, has moved into the new facilities from temporary facilities in Melrose Arch, also in Johannesburg. The new facility is across the road from The Campus, the home of Dimension Data and Internet Solutions.
Facebook has 170m monthly active users in Africa. About 15m of these are in South Africa. Some 70% of people who are connected to the Internet on the continent also connect to Facebook, the company. The company’s biggest market is Nigeria, with about 20m monthly active users.
