MultiChoice, which owns pay-television service DStv, has announced new prices for the year ahead. The new rates including an above-inflation 6,4% increase in the monthly cost of DStv Premium, the operator’s top-end bouquet, to R665/month.
The price of the cheaper and fast-growing Compact bouquet will rise by 7,3% to R295, from R275 now.
The new rates will take effect on 1 April.
DStv Extra will rise in price to R399/month, from R380 now, while the Family and Select bouquets rise in price from R175 to R185.
The basic DStv Access and EasyView bouquets remain unchanged at R99 and R29 respectively.
The M-Net terrestrial channel will cost R315, from R300 now, while the Indian and Portuguese bouquets rise in price by 6% each. More details are available in the table below. — (c) 2014 NewsCentral Media
