Telkom Business has introduced new mobile broadband products which it says provide sufficient data monthly to allow buyers to run a small business for prices starting at R249/month.
The new packages include a month-to-month contract option, called Data Max 15GB, that offers 15GB of data a month for R249. The Sim-only contract can be cancelled at any time but data works only on Telkom’s own mobile network.
For R279/month on a 24-month contract, the operator will include a Huawei USB modem. If consumers want a Huawei modem that also acts as a Wi-Fi hotspot, the fee goes up to R299/month on a 24-month contract. The final option costs R379 and includes either a Samsung Galaxy 2 10.1 or Apple iPad tablet computer.
For customers wanting access to MTN’s network — Telkom has a roaming agreement with MTN — the same prices apply but the amount of available bandwidth is cut by two-thirds to 5GB/month.
The out-of-bundle rate is 30c/MB. “Our Data Max 15GB Sim-only deal provides enough data to run a small business,” says Telkom Business mobile solutions head Deon Liebenberg.
The packages are available only to registered businesses and not to retail end users. — (c) 2012 NewsCentral Media
